Recent workshop on "Flexibility in future energy systems"
The International Smart Grid Action Network (ISGAN) and the International Energy Agency (IEA) recently held a workshop on "Flexibility in future energy systems."
Held on 11th October in Paris, France, this workshop focused on the increasing need for flexibility in energy systems to accommodate larger shares of variable renewable, and the role of smart grids in providing system flexibility and contributing to electrification in developing economies. Leading experts from around the world presented on a wide range of topics including demand response and energy storage, large-scale power transmission, market design, interconnection procedures, and ancillary services.
